They said that the party which came into power with a slogan to make a difference but it did completely opposite, especially with rising inflation and other issues.
According to them the people have become fed up the ruling PTI as it did not deliver on single agenda which it had put forth before coming into power, as skyrocketing inflation has made it impossible for the common man to make the both ends meet.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) MNA Maulana Asad Mehmood, who is the son of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said that there is no option with the government but to call it a day, as people have had enough of its hollow claims of bringing a change in the country. "The people are asking what the PTI has done for the prosperity of the country as it's been in power for more than a year now; the answer is quite simple: nothing. It failed, and failed miserably," he added.
In the same breath, he continued that a sea of people will march onto Islamabad against the government, adding the "selected" will be cleared then as an elected government would have never done what PTI has been doing after reaching the power corridors.
Dr Cheema of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that any silence at this stage from the opposition side would be a criminal neglect as people want the opposition should play due role to make the government realize that it has failed to give relief to the people. "The PTI has failed to give relief to masses rather it's snatched bread and butter from their mouth, and people can not afford two times meal due to rising inflation," he lamented.
Abdul Qadir Patel of Pakistan Peoples Party said that party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has convened an emergent meeting of the party on Wednesday (today) in which it will chalk out its future line of action against the government. The other MNAs belonging to opposition seemed quite upbeat about the success of the million march of the joint opposition on Islamabad to overthrow Imran Khan Administration.
On the other side, the lawmakers belonging to ruling PTI said that any attempt to create a law and order situation in capital under the pretext of fighting for the rights of masses will not be allowed. They said that the incumbent government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan has been doing far better than the previous governments as they did nothing except filling their coffers and stashing foreign banks with national wealth. They contended that no matter what, the plunderers of national wealth will be made accountable at all costs, as and this is the reasons, the Prime Minister has openly been refusing an NRO to the beleaguered opposition.
The PTI legislators were of the view that the opposition's march onto Islamabad is nothing but to build pressure on the Prime Minister to drop the corruption cases against their leadership, but it is their bad luck that prime minister is not going to compromise on then ongoing accountability.
